As students, you may want to know why educators have adopted LabPaqs as a requirement for your science courses. There are many reasons!

• All the items that should be included in your LabPaq are described on its enclosed Contents List.  It is very important that you examine the LabPaq immediately upon receipt and verify that all listed items are enclosed and intact and that all electronic equipment is properly functioning. Please inspect your LabPaq and notify notify Hands-On Labs of any problems within two weeks of receipt of your LabPaq.  After that time, any reported problems must be assumed to be the responsibility of the student.

• All contents are clearly labeled and easy to identify. These materials and the instructions in the accompanying manual will allow you to perform your experiments and write excellent lab reports and to make your LabPaq experience comparable to an on campus lab.

• If you take your science course online, in a distance learning facility, or in your home, you can save the time and money required to travel to a brick and mortar campus and formal lab facility, plus also save on parking and childcare expenses.

• You can do your lab experiments at times that are convenient for you.
  
  
• LabPaqs are designed for single student/single use. If you use a LabPaq outside of a campus lab, you will not be part of a group and so will have complete control over your personal learning experience.

• LabPaqs have a 100% safety record. You can be confident that the components, supplies, and chemicals found in LabPaqs are safe for use by adults. LabPaqs do contain potentially hazardous chemicals such as Hydrochloric Acid which are required for genuine experimentation. However, such chemicals are provided in relatively safe micro-scale quantities to minimize the potential for accidental injuries, yet the quantities are sufficient to allow you to conduct genuine science lab experimentation.
