** NOTE: The Virtual Microscope application provided on a CD includes an interactive microscope which functions and focuses just like a real microscope.   The V-Scope application also includes extremely high quality slide images which can be viewed just as they would be using a normal microscope with multiple objective lenses, and with an adjustable stage. The Virtual Microscope application is an excellent option for instructors who do not wish to require that their students purchase a microscope, and also as a supplement for those students who do use prepared slides and a microscope because the image quality of the V-Scope slides is far superior to the quality that can be obtained with any standard student microscope.

The above pricing is for ala-carte purchase of the V-Scope application and slide image sets. When the V-Scope application and slide images are used in place of the prepared slides that would normally come in a standard LabPaq, there is no difference in the price of the LabPaq, and no additional charge for the V-Scope application. The main difference in this case is that the student would not have to purchase a microscope. This substitution needs to be carefully considered since in some LabPaqs the student is not only viewing prepared slides, but is also preparing slides to be viewed with a normal microscope.
