The Online Science Educator

Everyone agrees that science knowledge is foundational to the health, progress and prosperity of the world. Now that online education is becoming a primary instructional mode for higher education, it is imperative that science courses be a part of all online course offerings and that science educators know how to effectively teach online.

Tomorrow's health, environmental, and energy workers, as well as all informed citizens, will require sound science understanding and keen critical thinking skills to advance our society. An increasingly large percentage of these students will need to take their science courses fully online due to a variety of personal factors.

Hands-On Labs' mission is to support distance science education. We want to help science educators who share this mission by providing them with "best practices", tips and information that will make their jobs easier. That is why we have developed this bi-monthly newsletter. We hope you find it interesting and helpful, and we welcome any contributions you wish to make.
