Ganglion Cells
| Ganglion Cells Spinal ganglion. H&E stain. Magnification 400x. |
|
This image shows at increased magnification several of the ganglion cells and associated supporting cells. The pointer "s" indicates a satellite cell, while the pointer "c" designates the ovoid nucleus of a capsule cell. The satellite cells are analogous with the neuroglia cell and the capsule cell is a fibroblast associated with the supporting connective tissue.

| Ganglion Cells Spinal ganglion. Iron hematoxylin stain. Magnification 400x. |
| At higher magnification, again examine the ganglion cells (unipolar neurons) noting the Nissl substance and the large nuclei. Also note the associated satellite cells and capsule cells. |
