LabPaq Adoption Process


An educational institution must first adopt a LabPaq in order for students to use them. This adoption process is very easy and similar to that of a textbook adoption.

The adoption process allows us to work closely with schools and instructors to forecast their LabPaq needs so appropriate supplies can be sourced and adequate quantities of LabPaqs can be built and ready to ship when your students need to order them.
 
Adoption Process:

1. Visit www.lapbpaq.com/educators to review LabPaq details by subject area.

2. Contact Academic Relations at AcademicRelations@LabPaq.com or 866-206-0773 for specific LabPaq information and provide details about your course requirements.

3. We will set up a webinar presentation so that you and/or members of your department can view LabPaq materials and engage in discussion.

4. Order a course specific LabPaq for evaluation and to ensure academic alignment with your course.

5. Provide a written commitment to adopt LabPaq(s) including course start date, number of sections offered, and total anticipated enrollment.

6. Execute an Adoption Agreement.

7. Each student orders their LabPaq. See Student Ordering.


Post Adoption Procedures

It is important that the instructor provide specific LabPaq ordering information to their students as suggested below.

This course includes a laboratory component which you must complete by using LabPaq # xx-xx. After you are certain you intend to complete the course, order your LabPaq directly online at www.LabPaq.com. Financial Aid students should contact their Financial Aid advisor or campus bookstore for ordering instructions. Keep your sales order number and be prepared to supply it to your instructor as proof of purchase of required course materials. LabPaqs are shipped from Denver, CO within one business day and delivered to most US locations within 5 days. It is not necessary to order LabPaqs more than a week prior to the course start date.


Note: Please urge your students NOT to order their LabPaqs until they are certain they will stay in your course to avoid costly return, shipping, and restocking fees. Return Policy.

IMPORTANT CAUTION:  Instructors may also wish to provide their students with this caution: Occasionally used LabPaqs, lab manuals, and even LabPaq answers are offered for sale on the Internet.  While the cost savings seem attractive, such a purchase represents false economy.  LabPaq equipment, supplies, lab manual instructions, and questions change frequently.  Thus, experiments performed, materials used, and questions asked in a prior semester’s LabPaq may not match those of the current semester, plus key materials may be missing.  Also, LabPaqs contain time-sensitive, perishable materials, so the experiments may not work if the used LabPaq is over a semester old.   Don’t waste your precious educational dollars on used LabPaqs or your precious educational experiences on copying someone else’s work.  The best educational value you can get is the genuine learning that comes from doing science lab work yourself!

Bookstore Purchases: Although the preferred method is for students to purchase LabPaqs online, special arrangements can be made for the bookstore to resell LabPaqs. Contact Academic Relations for more information.
